JULY 17/06 - Sarah, You'll Be Missed. It is with great sadness that as of July 14th, we share the news of Sarah Espie's passing. Her life long battle with cystic fibrosis we're sure wasn't an easy one but at least had it beat for a long time. We are very glad we were able to help her our by hosting a cystic fibrosis benefit show, held on May 27th. We're very grateful for knowing you Sarah, such a kind, cheerful soul. JUNE 2/06 - A Successful Cystic Fibrosis Benefit! The latest show, Food4Music 2006 Acosutic Showcase, has paid off; Sarah Espie is a happy camper indeed. We managed to raise $564 to put towards her cause. Food4Music's contribution helped bring her total donation amount for The Great Strides Walk to a total of $1,220! Food4Music's efforts helped Sarah surpass last year's donation by more than $150! Hats off to all the folks that helped out and to the aritsts that performed.

APRIL 17/06 - As part of Food4Music 2006, the first show will be an Acoustic Showcase held in Vancouver at The Crush Champagne Lounge. This will be the 7th installment of Food4Music Events and is booked Saturday, May 27. This time around things are a bit different in that this show will be benefiting people living with Cystic Fibrosis. FEB 26/06 - Food4Music 2006 plans are underway. We are going to hit Toronto, Ontario this year! Show details and exact dates are yet to be announced but we're aiming for June 2006. We've already have gotten much interest from many different acts from the Toronto area so stay tuned!

JAN 2/06 - Well, we did it! The Food4Music team pulled off an amazing show in Flint, Michigan. Our first-ever U.S. show and we hit 'em hard. We were successful at donating $1,200USD in cash proceeds plus over 300 pounds of food to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. For complete details please read the official press release.
DEC 2/05 - Many folks in and around Vancouver have been asking when and where the next Food4Music shows will be. This year we've decided to take a new plan of attack. We've expanded our charitable efforts across the border and into Michigan State. Yes, you heard right. For the first time ever, Food4Music will be hosting a US show.
However, don't fret, by no means this doesn't mean the end of Food4Music shows in Canada. All this means is fresh exposure for Food4Music and it's cause plus our efforts now reach far off parts of the globe. Hunger knows no race, no ethnic background, religion nor territoiral boundry. SEPT 15/05 - Food4Music is currently contacting artists/bands to perform Food4Music shows to take place early to mid December 2005. Definite dates and venues aren't set yet, but will be soon once we start confirming acts. We're looking at booking 3 to 4 shows featuring Rock, Metal, Acoustic and one other genre that is yet to be determined. Right now we're looking at hosting 19+ age shows in Vancouver but are considering an all-ages if things are a fit. In the meantime, feel free to download and enjoy this fine wallpaper.
MAY 29/05 - So what's happening with Food4Music shows lately? Why haven't we heard anything. Okay people, here's the deal. Food4Music is very much still alive and kicking. We are currently in the process of registering the organization as a legitimate non-profit society in the eyes of the government. Once this has been accomplished and a board of directors has been chosen, we'll get back at booking more shows. This process can be somewhat time-consuming and a bit of a headache, but it's an integral step that will allow Food4Music to grow.
MAY 27/05 - Food4Music is currently seeking new staff members to join our team. If you are a conesuir of music and the industry, an expert regarding a particluar music genre, or just want to be surrounded in all aspects of music, Food4Music may be just your deal. We're currently seeking a few key people to join us and will help Food4Music grow to new heights. These people must be visoinaries, be able to think big and outside of the box and have some training and/or experience. You have what it takes, Food4Music would like to hear from you so send your resume to !
DEC 28/04 - Food4Music's latest show, Christmas Metal Showcase, held Friday, December 17th, was a complete success! Results of this show allowed Food4Music to donate $500 in cash proceeds plus over 50 pounds of food to The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society just in time for Christmas. A special thanks to the volunteers and the bands, Omega Crom, Angel Grinder, Among The Betrayed and Radiokill, who helped with the cause. Read the details in this press release.
DEC 8/04 - R.I.P. Dimebag...today a shooting took place at a club in Columbus, Ohio where Damageplan was performing. Two members of the band were reportedly shot and killed, including Dimebag Darrell, formerly of Pantera. Indeed today is a very sad day and I am personally very distraught over his senseless death. NOV 2/04 - The next event has been booked and is in time before Christmas. The next event will include a kick-ass Metal Show featuring Omega Crom, Angel Grinder, Among The Betrayed and Radiokill. With the exception of Among The Betrayed, all these acts are new to the Food4Music band roster.

AUG 24/04 - An upcoming event is being planned in time for Christmas this year. Food4Music Christmas 2004 will present two shows, Rock and Metal. There will be four to five acts per show so contact us now if you want to play!

JUNE 9/04 - Food4Music 2004 went off without a hitch! The end result is a donation of over $1,600 in proceeds benefiting the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. This is worth over $3,000 since the food bank purchases in bulk. They are very grateful for all the support from Food4Music and it's artists and are very interested in working with Food4Music more so in the near future. The total is now over $3,500.

APRIL 1/04 - We are proud to annouce we have a completed the event schedule and have 6 shows confirmed for this year's first Food4Music 2004. The event will feature over 25 acts performing Rock, Metal, Hip-Hop, R&B and Acoustic material. It all goes down Thursday, May 27 right through to Sunday, May 30th at multiple venues downtown Vancouver. For show times, venues and ticket prices please see the event schedule. MAR 30/04 - Tickets for each show will be printed very shortly. Advance tickets will be made available by contacting us via email or by calling 604-340-7268. FEB 5/04 - Planning for the 4th installment of Food4Music Events is underway. It will take place downtown Vancouver and surrounding areas during the last weekend of May or first weekend of June. Exact dates, venues and bands are currently being negotiated. Confirmed event details will happen within the next few weeks. SEPT 19/03 - Food4Music Events welcomes a new band to perform in the latest event, 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Food4Music Rockfest. SEPT 1/03 - The Official Food4Music Events website is launched! The site is in its first phase but will continue to be developed. This first version contains all the nuts and bolts needed to provide useful event information and other related details. A guestbook, forum and much more are yet to come!
AUG 20/03 - This time around, the sponsor focus will be companies that can offer effective advertising and other related services. Two returning sponsors have come on-board to help out with the latest event. UBC's DiSCORDER and The Nerve Magazine will be providing advertising services in their September and October issues.
JULY 1/03 - Planning for the third Food4Music Event gets under-way. The 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Food4Music Rockfest, which will feature 10 bands, will take place at four different venues downtown over two nights. This approach is different than previous events as it isn't an all-ages show. Downtown Vancouver is where all the action is, that's where we want to be too!
