Colin T. Gale
For a meticulous and well-organized individual with a good heart, the concept of putting on benefit shows seemed like a natural progression for Colin. With no 'formal' training or education in the music business, Colin used his natural drive and gut instinct to guide him though the planning of the first event in May 2002, an all-ages show that featured 5 local bands. The inaugural Food4Music show proved to be an invaluable learning experience for Colin, giving him an idea of what was really important for future events. With this knowledge, he continued on his journey. After the second and third event, the Food4Music name began generating interest and recognition in the local music scene and community abroad and the events inevitably became more and more successful in terms of donations. Recognizing how powerful a tool music is, one of Colin's main goals is to take Food4Music across the country helping those in need. Colin has successfully proven that anyone can make a difference if they just have passion and believe in what they're doing. Check out the Food4Music Events profile at myspace.com/food4music.
Omer R. Cordell
His main focus for this natural talent has been the music scene taking live, studio and shots for band artwork. Omer has done work for some very impressive acts. His career got rolling when he started taking shots for Strapping Young Lad at their live performances. Devin Townsend, of Strapping Young Lad, realized Omer had a great eye for composition, Townsend thus requested that he also shoot for his other project, the Devin Townsend Band. He handled various promo shots and all photography for the CD insert of Devin Townsend Band’s, Accelerated Evolution, released in early 2003. From these projects the amount of exposure increased immensely and he went on shooting CD photography and press for such bands as: Fear Factory, Meshuggah, Mnemic, Threat Signal, Unearth, Apocalyptica, KMFDM, Darkane, Evenlight and many more live acts. During late 2004 Omer has been on the road with Fear Factory gathering material for an upcoming photo book. Omer currently owns and operates his own photography company geared specifically towards the music industry, Seventh Frame Photography, targeting various niches but having music, particularly Metal, as his main passion. Stephanie Pipes What do you get when you combine insomnia, a computer, a passion for writing and playlists that consist of Delerium, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, old school U2 and a bit of Radiohead thrown in for fun? Before you spend too much time pondering the answer, here it is, you get Stephanie. Insomnia and Stephanie's love of lyrics, the kind that bring every emotion you ever had and didn't even realize you could feel right to the surface until you want to scream, is what brought her to founder, Colin Gale's, proverbial door. After many late night / early morning conversations about music and lyrics and creativity and her obsession with drummers, Gale began sending her information about Food4Music and slowly Pipes found herself involved in the editing of all press releases and website content. Always interested in writing, she has had no 'formal' education in this area, Stephanie just has a way of making everything flow a little bit more smoothly. Now on board with Food4Music officially, insomnia may actually come in handy. |
